Arizona Search Dogs is a nonprofit (501c3) organization

Tornado Damage in Dallas/Fort Worth TX. (March 2000)

Assisted Texas Task Force 1 who deployed to assist local entities in the downtown area. at the time TX-TF1 was just forming and had no disater search dogs. we sent two teams and spent three days searching a damaged high rise and a collapsed 300,000 square foot factory.

Assisted Taipei task Force One (2001)

Spent a week in Taipei, Taiwan working with Taipei TF-1 K9 handlers

Deployed with AZ-TF 1 to The World Trade Center (9-11-2001)

Deployed with Arizona Task Force 1 to the World trade center disaster.

Deployed with AZ-TF1 to stand by at The Winter Olympics in Salt lake City, Utah (Feb. 2002)

Urban Search and rescue teams were staged at a  nearby Military base during the Olympics.

Search for a kidnapped teenage Girl along the Salt River near 24th street (2002)

Girl had been taken by a unknown man from her front yard. MCSO had tracked her to this area Arizona Search Dogs assisted in the area search along the river bottom in heavy brush and debris.

Assisted Phoenix P.D. and St. Joes Hospital Staff in the search for a reported abandoned newborn (2003)

Members of Arizona Search Dogs responded to St. Joes Hospital to assist P.P.D. and St. Joes Staff search for a reported abandonded newborn. Reo search the hospital grounds and surrounding properties in hopes of finding the newborn. No abandoned child was ever found and P.P.D. dismissed the report as a hoax.

Natural gas Explosion in a Central Phoenix Apartment complex (2003)

Assisted Phoenix Fire Department in a search of an apartment complex after a natural gas explosion.

Assisted with the training of United Kingdom Firefighters inital Urban Search and Rescue Training in College Station, Texas (2003)

Traveled to College Station Texas to assist in the training of United Kingdom USAR members.

Searched the Fry's Marketplace at Mill and Southern in Tempe AZ. After the roof collapsed due to heavy rains (2004)

A significant portion of the Fry's grocery stores roof collapsed. Sending in Firefighter to obtain an "All Clear" was not possible due to the instability of the remaining roof structure. Two search teams were able to clear the structure in less than 15 minutes.

Assisted Phoenix Police Department with a ground search for an elderly gentleman who left his home after a family argument.

Deployed with AZ-TF1 to New Orleans, LA after Hurricane Katrina (Sept. 2005)

Conducted search and rescue activities in New Orleans, La. following the Hurricane Katrina Disaster.

Assisted The Phoenix Police Department in a search for a 5 Year Old female (2005)

Assisted Phoenix Police and Fire in the search for a 5 year old girl who wandered away from home. Girl was found 300' from her home hiding under a parked car. She had been hiding for 4 hours during the winter in pajama pants and no shirt.

Search for a 75 year old female who walked away from home (Dec.2005)

Assisted Phoenix Police in the search for an elderly female who wandered away from home. The female was missing overnight. Arizona Search Dogs teams searched a nearby golf course and residential area. Members were approached by a neighbor who had found the missing lady.

Search for a 13 year old female who ran away from home (2007)

Assisted the Phoenix Police Department's Missing Persons Division in the search for a 13 year old runaway.

Assisted Avondale, AZ. Police in the search for a 6 year old male. (Feb. 2008)

Assisted Avondale, AZ Police in an area search for a missing 6 year old boy.

Deployed with AZ-TF1 to Hurricanes Gustav and Ike in the Gulf Coast region (Sept. 2008)

Deployed to the U.S. Gulf Coast Region to conduct search and rescue activities. Primary search and rescue activities were on Galveston Island Texas.

Search for a 3 year old male at a Phoenix, AZ paper recycling plant (Dec. 2008)

Assisted the Phoenix Police and Fire Departments in the search for a 3 year old boy who had become lost while playing at the recycling plant. The boy was found at the bottom of a 30' by 75' stack of baled and compressed paper.

Search for a Missing Phoenix Male (Oct. 2010)

Assisted The Phoenix Police Departments Missing Persons Division in the search for a male who had been missing for over a year and a half. Hunters had discovered the mans SUV in a remote area of the desert.

Search for a missing Mountain Biker (Oct. 2010)

Assisted The Phoenix Police Departments Missing Persons Division in a area search for a missing Mountain Biker. The Mountain Biker had gone missing during a routine ride. Six search teams covered remote desert areas of North Phoenix.

AZ-TF1 Deployed to Hurricane Sandy with four Members of Arizona Search Dogs (August 2012)

   Two dog handlers and their canines from the Phoenix Fire Department/Arizona Task Force One (AZ-TF1) are being deployed to assist in the search and recovery efforts following the severe mudslides that occurred March 22, 2014, in Snohomish County,Washington.
